The Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’ / Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations welcome visitors to our lands.
The Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k’tles7et’h’ region is accessible only by air or water.
Directions to Kyuquot:

Take Hwy 19 north from Campbell River, and turn left on logging road about twenty minutes past Woss. You can stop at Woss if you need as they have a small store and a gas station, which you may want to top up at.

The turn off to the logging road is marked with signs for Zeballos and then Fair Harbour. Please be sure to travel with a spare and drive carefully on the logging roads.

You can launch your boat at Fair Harbour or meet your water taxi there (water taxis must be booked in advance).

The drive from Campbell River to Fair Harbour takes about three and a half hours, and then from Fair Harbour is half an hour by boat to Kyuquot.

You will pass through Zeballos, on your way to Fair Harbour from Campbell River. Zeballos has a hotel, restaurant, a mechanic, pay phones and a few small stores. In Fair Harbour we have access to campsites, a small store, free and paid parking, a government wharf and a gas station.

The passenger boat MV Uchuck III departs from Gold River to Kyuquot, on Vancouver Island, every Thursday morning, returning late Friday afternoon. Gold River is 90 kilometers west of Campbell River on Hwy 28. There’s usually is parking for your car on the side of the road near the dock.

Air Nootka makes regularly scheduled flights every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Gold River. Charter flights are also available.
